Today when you choose new bathroom fittings the vast majority of people will choose a white bathroom suite. A good reason for this is because a white bathroom suite can be timeless in as much as the color does not go out of fashion.
One of the best things about choosing a white suite is that you have the ability to change your bathroom color scheme over and over as a white suite will go with any other color. A white suite will also make the room look more spacious and clean which is always a bonus in a bathroom.
In recent days, when you visit a bathroom showroom, you will find that nearly all the shower bathroom suites and bath suites on display are white and furthermore many of them are inexpensive. You can purchase a cheap white bathroom suite and make it look more expensive by buying nice taps to accent it, although beware that some taps are expensive and could push up the cost of your suite above your budget.
When you tile around a white bathroom suite you have a licence to use whatever color tiles you want to but bear in mind that unless you stick with something fairly neutral that you will lose the benefit of being able to redecorate your bathroom in any color you want as you may have to choose colors to suit your tiles. You could of course change your tiles when you redecorate but it is worth bearing in mind that tiles can be expensive as can the cost of labor associated with the tiling. One good idea is to go for black and white tiles as again you can paint almost any color around these neutral colors.
A further benefit of choosing a white bathroom suite is the fact that should you crack a basin or a toilet or chip a bath then you can get another replacement item in white without any fuss. Years ago when people had many different colors to replace just one item in a colored suite could cost almost as much as a complete replacement suite and in many cases people did choose to renew the whole suite but this then cost more due to the labor charges.
When you have chosen a white suite you can enhance your bathroom by addition of interesting mirrors, cabinets and other accessories without it looking like it has been overdone, the beauty is in the simplicity. Add some candles and some soft lighting and you will make a room which has a beautiful ambience which can be a very relaxing place to unwind after a hard days work.
One thing to note with a white suite is that you need to keep it extra clean to keep it looking good, but we all want to keep our bathrooms in pristine condition don’t we? When you do you really will see the benefit.
Something else that looks good and is popular these days is to conceal your toilet cistern in a cabinet and to also have a matching vanity unit with the basin in, this also gives you cupboard space to keep things such as toilet rolls which you need in a bathroom.
